Anthony G. Nestler Elected to Illinois Bankers Association Board of Directors

SPRINGFIELD, ILLINOIS – Anthony G. Nestler with Hickory Point Bank & Trust in Decatur has been elected to serve on the Board of Directors of the Illinois Bankers Association (IBA). The induction ceremony was held on June 22 during the organization’s Annual Conference at the Hilton Chicago.

Nestler is President and Chief Executive Officer of Hickory Point Bank & Trust, a position he has held since 2011. Hickory Point Bank & Trust is a $640 million community bank with offices in Decatur, Champaign, Springfield and Peoria Heights, IL. He joined the bank in April 2001 as Senior Vice President, Commercial Banking and was later named Executive Vice President.

Nestler is the founding president and director of First Illinois Corporation, and led its 2011 acquisition of Hickory Point Bank & Trust. Prior to joining the bank, he was with Bank One, Illinois, NA as Vice President, Corporate Banking in Springfield.

Nestler is a graduate of Northwestern University, Evanston, IL, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He is a graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking and numerous professional development programs. He serves on the board of trustees of Millikin University, Decatur, and is on the board of directors of the Greater Decatur Chamber of Commerce, Hickory Point Bank & Trust and First Illinois Corporation. He is a member of YPO Illini Chapter and YPO Chicagoland.
